Seeking a commercially focused Senior Media and Public Relations Manager to report directly into the Executive Director of an dynamic Victorian government department promoting Victoria's top spots and attractions!

  • Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments, (infrequent)

  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to team management
  • Executive presence and clarity of purpose



Specific Deliverables

  1. Developing an integrated media/public relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media; with a monthly cadence of activations and delivery.
  2. Drive significant brand health growth through positive media and Public Relations activations.
  3. Integrate media/Public Relations plans with strategic partners i.e. Visit Victoria (Wander Victoria Advertising) with Parks being recognised as the principle asset/event manager in Australia.
  4. Enhance conservation reputation via unique media and Public Relations engagement programs.
  5. Help structure team to achieve the above deliverables.



Team/Resources

  1. Direct report to Executive Director Marketing and Communications
  2. Direct engagement with CEO and other Executives
  3. Integrate with peer media, marketing and Public Relations teams (strategic partners)
  4. Oversee a team 6-8 personnel

3-month initial contract placement – with scope to permanency
