About the company:

About the role:

Reporting into the Head of ANZ Medical Affairs, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the strategic direction of a high performing team of 3 Medical Managers
  • Providing leadership into the development of medical strategy for each brand and pipeline product
  • Designing and executing a strategy for both a neurological portfolio and neurodegenerative pipeline; ensuring accuracy, scientific quality and compliance from all medical managers in tandem with internal and external stakeholders and healthcare practitioners
  • Ensuring that the implementation of medical activities are tracking to plan
  • Managing budgets for medical managers activities
  • Attending both national and international medical education events to build and develop professional networks

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelors, Masters and/or PhD in Science, Pharmacy or Medicine
  • A minimum of 5 years medical affairs experience working within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Previous experience working as a medical manager or medical advisor
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to retain a high level of product and therapy area knowledge
  • Ability to manage budgets and collaborate cross functionally with all departments
  • Strong leader who is transparent, inspiring, solution focused and hands on
  • Previous experience working in a matrix environment is highly desirable
