Our client based within the emergency services sector requires a Senior People & Culture Partner in a key role in a new team providing a strategic value add generalist HR service to leaders, managers and team members. In addition, this role plays a key support role within P&C supporting the implementation of people initiatives, undertaking complex case management, providing strategic workforce planning advice, P&C research and analysis, and building evidence based business cases. Reporting to the Lead P&C Partner, the Partnering team has a key focus on workforce planning, talent, change management, and performance.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Conduct research and analysis and prepare reports and presentations to support evidence based people initiatives
  • Undertake people-based projects on time to realise benefits in support of improved performance and people experience
  • Develop human resources capability within the client group, contributing to culture change in line with People Strategy
  • Building effective relationships across the allocated business units and attending forums/meetings/committees where necessary in order to provide strategic P&C advice
  • Work with senior and middle management to deliver on local staff survey action plans and ongoing engagement initiatives
  • Working with the leadership team to ensure that appropriate Performance Review and Development processes are in place for all staff
  • Support the implementation of organisational change, including restructures, technology implementation and other activities

To be successful you must have a strong history of business partnering and:

  • contemporary HR management policies and practices including change management; industrial agreements e.g. awards and enterprise agreements; legislative requirements as applicable to the workplace
  • HR/ER case management
  • Exceptional stakeholder relations skills and high ability to influence in complex, maturing environments.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work at a strategic level in partnership with managers
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills including the ability to independently prepare effective briefing papers, reports and recommendations
  • Conduct research and analysis and prepare reports and presentations to support evidence based people initiatives
