An exciting and new created role has become available and we are looking for a suitable Senior Rail Change Advisor to fulfil the team.

The Senior Rail Change Advisor reports to the Interface and Operations Readiness Manager. The Senior Rail Change Advisor is responsible to engage with alliance parties to influence as well as assist various stakeholders to deliver the organisations program/delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Build strong relationships with key project parties to ensure engagement on all key business changes and influence positive outcomes.
  • Support the delivery through developing a good understanding of the project interfaces to assist in the identification of new processes/standards, training requirements, safety measures and changes management activities.
  • Provide proactive and positive contributions to operationalise changes and to propose risk mitigation measures to ensure delivery is achieved.
  • For assigned interfaces, ensure the projects technical engineering team and the wider team are made aware of the potential operational issues; working as the link between the parties, seek and recommend ways to build a working technical or operational interface.
  • Working independently, and collaboratively with team members, to mange and identify project related interface risks and provide options/solutions that are timely, accurate and responsive.

Furthermore, we are seeking applicants with a specific skillset and working experience, to include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or project management discipline
  • Project experience and ability to understand and articulate operational impacts
  • Ability to demonstrate change management or transition methodologies
  • Industry experience within transport/engineering is highly desirable
  • Ability to apply past rail operational experience to analyse problems and understand operational impacts; use skills, knowledge and experiences to meet business outcomes by proactively facilitating resolution of operational issues.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and being able to convey technical and operation topics in a clear and interesting way; clearly understands the target audience and the objectives of the communication; use audience feedback to refine communication and ensure communications are understood; handles difficult and sensitive communication well.
  • Ability to actively promote and rive change using broad influencing skills to overcome barriers and gain support while remain calm and optimistic even when things don’t go as planned.
