Senior Risk Specialist - $65 p/h – 1 year contract


Assist and support the Branch Manager, Director Risk and partners in the community. You will be working for a company whose priority is to ensure people with a disability continue to get the support they need.

Your objective is to assist the ERM team to maintain an effective enterprise risk management framework that ensures the company is prepared for risk and can confidently anticipate and manage opportunities and threats as they arise.

The Role

  • Working in a team with responsibilities for delivering the Agency’s objectives for Risk Management with a focus on partnership and support across the Agency’s divisions and/or regional sites;
  • Providing input into the Risk framework, facilitating its development based on best practice principles and assisting with its implementation;
  • Contributing to the preparation of the annual Risk plan to facilitate ongoing advancement of risk maturity;
  • Applying a structured and systematic approach to monitoring the application and consistent implementation of the Agency’s Risk framework,
  • Evaluating the application of risk management principles across the Scheme;
  • Assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of the Agency’s Risk framework;
  • Ensuring the delivery of high quality support, training and guidance to Agency staff and partners in the community with regards to the businesses Risk processes;
  • Monitoring and analysing trends in mitigating risks, including risk treatment plans used to minimise potential exposure and harness opportunities;
  • At the Agency, group, functional and regional levels to assist business units in identifying and managing risks, controls and treatments plans;


  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Experience in supporting implementation of ERM framework
  • Familiar with AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 and/or CPS220
  • Team player with ability to build relationships
  • Adaptable to a quickly changing environment
