As the Senior Tax Associate, the role will partner various performing business units.

Supporting various Head's of Tax in the end-to-end performance of tax compliance activities:

  • Governance and adherence to Group's tax policies and frameworks
  • Process improvements around sourcing efficiencies for cost control
  • Tax advisory across various business units
  • Tax advisory around employment taxes
  • Interpret and implement tax changes as per tax law development
  • Tax reporting requirements to Group
  • Collaboration with Technology Finance colleagues and Data Analytics to invest in better systems and ways of working

The successful Senior Tax Associate should have the following background:

  • Strong technical expertise from a Chartered Accounting background or equivalent
  • Complimented with commercial experience from a large corporate environment
  • Strong tax compliance background - must have employment tax, payroll tax, FBT or indirect tax background
  • Preference for Financial Services industry background
  • An inquisitive nature to conduct detailed analysis and effectively translate technical tax elements to business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Interest in using systems to enhance Data and Analytics reporting within Tax environment
