My client is a leading international engineering company based in Macquarie Park, who are looking for their next star in a Service Desk Analyst.

You will be solving technical issues and troubleshooting problems in a helpdesk environment. This role is not a typical helpdesk role, you will be involved in various jobs such as onboarding new employees, purchasing IT equipment, setting up boardrooms etc.

Duties

  • Provide direct customer support via phone and email
  • Provide and maintain a strong customer focus and support services
  • Provide support for applications, email and technology services
  • Contribute to refining the environment through innovation, process improvement and documentation
  • Work with local & Global teams to ensure standards are implemented and upheld
  • Act & Report on Infrastructure Services systems (Backups, Antivirus, VPN, Active Directory)

Skills and Competencies

  • Previous experience as a Service Desk Analyst and with IT Service Management / Ticketing systems
  • Experience providing application & Operating system support (Microsoft Office 2016 & 365, Citrix XenApp, Windows 7 or higher)
  • Experience providing hardware support (Desktops, Laptops, Networks (LAN/WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls))
  • Ability to work unsupervised, to a high standard and have excellent organisational & problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a friendly and professional phone manner
  • Willingness to learn and focus on results
  • Able to work under pressure, keep things simple, demonstrate patience and creativity and possess conflict management skills
  • Any experience in Servers (Wintel, SQL, VMware) and Storage Technologies will be highly regarded
  • Certifications such as ITIL, MCSE or MCITP, CCNA will be highly regarded
