job description

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Corporate Customer Enquiries
  • Enter and Track all orders
  • Follow up Customer orders
  • Logistically Consolidate FCL/LCL containers for customers
  • Corporate Customer and Worldwide Invoicing
  • Approving all documentation for the Trades/Customs
  • Quotes / Costing’s / Rates
  • Offsite Customer Visits
  • Ensuring all communications with customers and service providers are helpful, courteous, timely and of the highest standard
  • Dealings and relationships with other staff members are friendly and promote harmony in the workplace
  • Plus other duties as required by the Company from time to time

Key technical skills and knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of Incoterms and supply chain systems
  • Minimum 5 years relevant Australian freight forwarding experience and product knowledge and can apply this experience appropriately
  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills. Microsoft office Intermediate level. EDI Cargowise experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Communicate effectively with others – email correspondence clear and explicit and able to talk on the phone (clear and comprehensive English language skills)
  • Manage time efficiently and effectively – be organised (ability to forecast/plan)
  • Make timely decisions and sound judgements

  • Plan, organise and schedule work
  • Attention to detail and accurate
