The Client

On the search for an experienced site engineer with a well respected Telecommunications Company involved in the NBN rollout in Australia.

My client has developed a reputation for consistently delivering within the telecommunications construction sector in Melbourne. They are looking at expanding there team and wanting the right person to be able to hit the ground running.

The Role

This role is to provide administrative and operation support to the national team of the nbn Transit CNI/Active project. This role will be varied, have a strong focus on detail and take pride in their ability to make the team successful using internal and external systems and processes.

The Responsibilities

  • Maintain and Update project DB -NOVUS
  • Updating of registers (Payment Claim, EACS/Telstra Keys)
  • Documents Controls and Updates
  • Preparation of Practical Completion artefacts and uploads to SharePoint
  • Maintain Project DB
  • Liaise with Logistics Coordinator
  • Apply for Telstra NOW/NIAP
  • Assist with generate Payment Claim and submission
  • Maintain Reconciliation payment records
  • Process Weekly Timesheet
  • Promote the health and safety, of employees and contractors through demonstrating correct HSE behaviours, with the proactive management of HSE procedures and processes
  • Communicate weekly with the team from clients HSE alerts
  • Maintain and Update VisRes Record
  • Monitor quality performance using established systems and reports, and report non-conformances to the Project Team
  • Assist engineers in the close out of client defects

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Tertiary qualifications (Engineering Degree) in an applicable discipline
  • Telecommunications experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of construction, project and program controls principles and practices
  • Excellent understanding and interpretation of construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Detailed knowledge of project scheduling.
  • Construction Industry Induction Card (Whitecard)
