About the company for the site manager role:

Privately owned and ran construction company who deliver luxury homes and commercial style projects. With 30 staff they are ran and operated like a tier 2 business (background of the directors) and they deliver projects from $1-$10million

They now require a site manager who wants to take on an interesting brand new project that is due to start next month

This is a brand new role and interviews will be held this week and next - top chance to work with a company with systems in place as well as subbies who they pay on time

About the site manager role:

The project that the site manager will initial work on is in Willoughby and includes a $9million, 4 storey residential building with 1 basement and 20 units

This is a chance for a site manager who can grow and be involved in an iconic project from the offset. Ideal for those who like project autonomy and have delivered similar projects in the past


Duties of the site manager

Standard responsibilities Include;

  • Make the project your responsibility to push through on time
  • Work with the PM
  • Work closely with contractors and the clients
  • Be passionate, driven and keen to make a professional impression
  • Liaise with contractors at all times
  • Be reactive rather than procactive throughout the project
  • Only work do the highest standards of quality
  • Understand in house documenation
  • You WILL NOT have to deal with the client, do RFI's or screw subbies!

Skills and Experience of the Site manager

You will ideally be a highly skilled site manager who has delivered projects in the residential sector

  • Demonstrate project success in the past
  • Have a track record of project delivery at $10million in value
  • A passionate, confident and positive attitude
  • Have great communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with on site contractors and the site team
  • Ability to manage general foreman
  • A desire to progress and develop within a company
  • Understand high quality finishes and details
  • Previous experience with an established construction company
