The Company:

Our client is a leading, multi-award winning new home builder seeking an experienced, outgoing, innovative, hands on Site Supervisor managing large residential projects within the Wollongong and Nowra regions in NSW. To be considered for this position you will have experience in managing large Commercial and Civil projects, demonstrating your understanding and experience in the importance of driving a safety conscious culture that provides high quality workmanship, through to a proven ability in managing on site budget requirements in order to meet project delivery from inception to completion.

The Role:

  • Managing and coordinating up to 100 trades and subcontractors while maintaining a professional site environment
  • Actively working between 10-15 residential projects at the one time
  • Allocation of materials to job sites to ensure timely construction of homes
  • Ensure homes are being built in accordance with contractual arrangements
  • Inspecting completed work and ensuring high workmanship standards
  • Assisting with general duties onsite outside of a subcontractors requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with and delivery of established cost management and project management practices
  • Ensuring Trades are meeting Safety Management and WHS compliance standards
  • Regular contact with clients and council

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade Certification – Carpentry background is highly desired
  • Minimum 5 years construction experience (post apprenticeship)
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Building Industry
  • Ability to manage and liaise with Customers, Internal Staff, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors
  • Strong understanding in WHS
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines
  • Professional client liaison ability
  • Experience using a range of hand and power tools
  • A good eye for detail
