The Client

My client provides telecommunications services across Melbourne focused on design, construction, operations and maintenance for carriers, government, channel partners and enterprise industry segments.

Being one of Australia's largest services businesses providing comprehensive support and management services to clients across the resources, telecommunications, transport, energy, water, health and industrial sectors.

About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely will all supervisors to ensure contract objectives and KPI's are achieved. You will also be responsible for mentoring Area Supervisors and provide coaching to improve the performance culture.

Portfolio Components:

  • Supervision of projects as directed.
  • Supervision of design, construction and/ or design and construction of works.
  • Managing the progress of works at various sites to meet client expectations within constraints of time, budget, safety, environmental and quality.
  • Deliver to the prescribed contract KPI performance targets.
  • Ensure all design and construction activities are in accordance with the HSE & Q Plan.
  • Comply and deliver in accordance to rule set in Project Management Plan (PMP).
  • A ability to liaise with NBN relationship manager to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner,
  • Apply your business acumen to ensure that the profitability and financial security of the area of supervision is understood, monitored and proactively managed to ensure longevity and a return on investment for all stakeholders.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Experience in a construction-related environment, ideally in the telecommunications industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of the Telstra/NBN network in the area of design and construction practices
  • Possess a current state drivers licence along with a preparedness to drive as part of normal duties
  • Be medically fit and possess the necessary qualifications and training to climb and work at heights
