The purpose of this role is to manage a large project to design, collect and present student and employer level outcome information through surveys of VET students and employers of apprentices and trainees.

The Survey Manager will lead the development of high quality set of performance measures to inform, support policy development and monitor Skill First implementations. The Survey Manager will also play a key leadership role
in advancing the data collection of survey results to support the strategic priorities of the Group.
The role requires the capacity to draw on international research findings and best survey practice to lead the designof survey instruments, manage the data collections and present survey results to support ongoing business requirements including policy development, performance monitoring, research and evaluation. Proven experience in survey design and data collections, and outstanding project management skills will be essential in the success of this role. Other required skills include stakeholder engagement, risk management, planning and the ability to manage contracts.

The insights from this project are being used to inform the Department's contracting of quality training providers and will be used to inform prospective students of training options. The Survey Manager will also play a key role in being a thought leader for this work (both with the Department and nationally) on future improvements in the Student Satisfaction Survey and Employer Satisfaction and Skills Survey and metrics reported.
The Survey Manager role is a three-year fixed term position and will work closely with the Unit Manager, RTO Performance Indicators to manage commercial survey company to undertake survey design and data collections for the Student Satisfaction Survey and Employer Satisfaction and Skills Survey.
