This global financial services company is seeking a Home Claims Team Leader to join their team in Sydney's North Shore. This is an opportunity to make your mark in this hugely successful company. They offer a variety of specialized products across insurance and income protection and the team you will be joining provide exceptional customer service for Home & Content Claims accounts. Leading a growing and successful team you will be responsible for continuously improving their technical capability through close coaching and development of your staff. Our client is seeking someone who is ready for a challenge and has exceptional communication skills. This role is ideal for someone who is a natural leader and has prior financial services experience within a leadership capacity. As a leader you are expected to lead by example and promote teamwork and collaboration. Working Monday – Friday as a Home Claims Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Coach, lead and develop team members through one on one and team meetings
  • Implement strategies and tactics to continuously improve performance of individuals and the team
  • Manage team performance against KPIs
  • Effectively minimise costs whilst servicing customers in a timely manner
  • Handling any escalations or complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Analysing reports and performance trends in order to make succession planning effective
  • Working productively with and regularly reporting to the Team Manager
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures

Your skills and experience:

  • You must have technical home claims experience
  • You must have a minimum of 3 years financial services experience
  • You must have leadership experience
  • A background within home claims is highly desired
  • Demonstrate leadership ability
  • You are results-driven
