Randstad is seeking an experienced Technical Applications Specialist (Oracle Applications) to be responsible for providing the enhancement, maintenance and support of the Oracle e-Business Suite R12 application, in the areas of Finance and Procurement. This will include the design, development, testing, deployment and support of custom extensions and the integration with 3rd party and legacy systems.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide technical input and advice for corporate applications specifically the Oracle e-Business Suite Finance and Procurement or Human Resources or Payroll solutions.
  • Assist in managing the delivery of critical and highly complex solutions to deliver organisational initiatives.
  • Contribute to and develop strategies for the continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement or all aspects of corporate solutions including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures to achieve the success of the project/s.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Foster and sustain strategic partnerships across teams, directorates, the wider agency and relevant external agencies.
  • Provide advice on feasibility and suitability of proposed solutions to optimise business performance.

Key challenges:

  • Drive the engagement of the Oracle e-Business Suite R12 for Finance and Procurement or Human Resources and Payroll or Human Capital Management across the system, balance competing demands to achieve business objectives, establish effective stakeholder relationships and arrangements that ensure customer input to all decisions, and balance state wide needs with location innovation and national directions.
  • Work within an environment where technologies are subject to rapid evolution and change and identify technology solutions and platforms that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall service offering for customers and drive improved value.
  • Create, lead and maintain a constructive workplace culture.

Essential requirements:

  • Strong experience in planning, and managing critical, complex and/or large technical solutions in a large and complex service industry organisation.
  • Extensive experience as a Technical Analyst working with Oracle Applications R12 or latest versions, including experience in implementation, upgrade and production support environments. Functional knowledge of HR/Payroll, Human Capital Management or Finance and Procurement modules including Advanced Global Intercompany System, Multi Organization Access Control and/or Sub Ledger Accounting is required.
  • Sound experience in the Oracle development tools: PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, XML Publisher and XML Bursting, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Application Development Framework (ADF) and/or JDeveloper with high level understanding of Oracle Applications Development standards and methodologies.
