Territory Manager – Homewear/Kitchenwear – Perth

Our client is a leading supplier of homewares and kitchenware in Australia and New Zealand, whilst also exporting to countries in Asia, Europe and North America.

They are a leading wholesaler across the country and offer a great opportunity to further develop their footprint in Western Australia.

The ideal candidate will be commercially minded and have previously run their own business or managed a state territory. An understanding/background in homewear, kitchenwear, interior design or a similar industry will be required.

With over 50 brands they offer customers a ‘one-stop’ buying experience across multiple home wear categories.

Your Role

  • Be responsible for overall account and sales performance
  • Develop new business opportunities by following up leads and proactively developing new business within an assigned territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to help maximize sales and stay informed of customers direction
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of customer price points and product categories, their markets and their competition.
  • Selling a range of products that have been selected by the buying team for seasonal purposes
  • Identify opportunities and anticipate competitive offers in the market
  • Manage conflict by effective negotiation and sales strategy
  • Analysis and understanding of sales data relevant to your customers

Experience to suit the role

  • Very good presentation and communication skills
  • A keen eye for what retailers and consumers want
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated business development skills
  • Ability to handle conflicting and/or sensitive situations within a deadline-driven environment
  • High level organisational and time management skills, including attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and contribute to team harmony and performance
