We are currently looking for a WHS COORDINATOR to assist in the facilitation of site WHSMS & strategic plans. Partner with teams to assist in managing site health & safety activities that achieve the most effective outcome.

Provide the site with technical and practical WHS advice. Ensure all WHS state regulations are complied with, ensuring WHS system integrity through regular site auditing.

This is a multi site role Blacktown/Bella Vista and Smithfield

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide site personnel/WHS Committees with technical support to promote continuous improvement in safety culture and sustainability.
  • Performance Indicators: Attendance at committee meetings, site management meetings, tool box talks, coaching of team members.
  • Provide risk management coaching, support and guidance to drive improved risk management practices across the site.
  • Performance Indicators: Training KPI over sight with HR for compliance with (lead indicators), activity plan compliance.
  • Assist and support team members in all aspects of health & safety. Effective roll out of the WHSMS to all employees on the site.
  • Performance Indicators: Training evidence % completed, accurate training matrix plans, monthly leading indicators.
  • Minimise the social and economic harm caused by workplace illness and injury.
  • Performance Indicators: Provide a regular analysis of the progress against targets in areas of lead and lag indicators, identifying blockers, opportunities and other influencing factors with recommendations.
  • Support the development, implement and monitoring of procedures and policies across the sites to maintain adherence to audit criteria policies and procedures.
  • Performance Indicators: % of policies and procedures, task instructions, SOP’s, Safe work method statements (SWMS), JSA’s developed, entered onto training matrix, documented training delivered, review periods of documents met.
  • Collect adequate safety related data of KPI’S and enter into relevant data base on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Performance Indicators: Accurate recording of data into relevant data base.
  • Ensure all reporting required internal & external to the business is provided as required.
  • Performance Indicators: Reports and assistance with budgets prepared accurately & on time.
  • Ensure compliance across the sites for Health & Safety acts, regulations, codes of practice.
  • Performance Indicators: Assist with risk management systems audits, Snack brands data, site safety data and WHS integrity audits.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in OHS, Cert 4 in training is desirable.
  • Functional / Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Experience in a Health, Safety role.
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build and leverage internal customer relationships to deliver business outcomes
