Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for executives, staff, members, and external parties reaching out to the National President or National Vice-President.
Provide administrative assistance to the National President and National Vice-President, including email review, meeting scheduling, and formatting communication materials.
Respond to routine correspondence and direct other materials to the appropriate staff or National Executive member for timely and accurate responses.
Support National Executive meetings by taking minutes, coordinating external services, confirming venue accommodations, and managing catering needs.
Arrange travel and accommodations for National Executive members and staff.
Represent the Union at meetings upon the National President's request.
Organize and maintain the office filing system
Qualifications
Strong administrative and organizational skills required, 4 years plus of experience.
Education in office administration or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficiency in both official languages for effective communication.
Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
Familiarity with Union mandate and objectives, along with a broad understanding of the social and political context is an asset.
Research abilities and the capacity to prepare summary reports.
Competence in using computer systems and Office 365 applications.
