We are looking for an entry level Accounting Assistant position, reporting to the Finance team of our client. In this position you will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to support the Accounts Payable activities to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 /hour

Key Responsibilities
• Processes accounts payable, performs data entry, verifies invoices and ensures proper approvals and compliance with corporate policies/procedures
• Work collaboratively to ensure effective accounting and administrative resource management
• Updates and maintains Accounts Payable module in the accounting software
• Answers inquiries about the Accounts Payable functions and transactions
• Additional tasks assigned by Manager or Finance Team
• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Enter key data of financial transactions in software
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

Requirements:

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• A sense for confidentiality for all information received from the company
• Be well organized, with demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Be able to prioritize to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Proficient user of accounting software, spreadsheets, MS Outlook
• Ability to handle work volume with accuracy and timeliness
• Ability to work with and respect the nature of confidential information

Experience:

• Accounts Payable: 6 months (Required)
• high level MS Office: 1 year (Required)
