Randstad Staffing, Canada's 1 Integrated Staffing firm is actively recruiting for a temporary Accounting Clerk to work for one of our clients in Dartmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

•Maintaining post-dated cheques;
•Receiving and processing payments by phone/mail;
•Receiving and processing payments by fax/email;
•Follow-up on receivables as requested by Credit Manager;
•Process credit checks as required;
•Complete weekly transfer of AR from trust;
•Set follow-up dates for over 60 and 90 days AR;
•Prepare and distribute monthly AR reminder statements to clients
•Complete draft Excel worksheet of semi-annual write-offs.
•Posting deposits; cheques
•Process client bills;
•Daily procedure checking for posting errors

Other duties as required

- Monday-Friday.
- Eligibility for individual Health and Dental Benefits
- Temporary position for 12 weeks with possibility of an extension
- Paid weekly.

-Diploma or Degree in Business with a focus in Accounting;
-1-2 years experience in an Accounting role or an equivalent combination of experience and training;
-Experience in a professional services firm is preferred;
-Exceptional attention to detail and proven organization skills;
-Ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadlines;
-Critical thinking coupled with strong problem-solving skills;
-Outstanding computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel with the ability to learn new software quickly
