job description

 Process invoices matching to purchase orders and ensure accurate charging of accounts.
 Process inventory invoices to proper items monitoring balances for possible errors.
 Code and post invoices and review possible discrepancies with vendors.
 Issue vendor cheques as needed.
 Check vendor invoices for accuracy, correct period of performance, amount owed, and if any
sales tax is present.
 Process bills using online access to ensure completeness and record expenses.
 Filing of paid invoices and proper storage.
 Receive and post invoices.
 Enter annual inventory counts and pricing, on a yearly basis.
 Assist with year-end analysis, pricing, and reporting.
 Prepare and correspond with clients and suppliers by email and phone.
 Assist with month-end closing procedures.

- College Diploma in Accounting, Business, or equivalent
- Minimum 1-3 year(s) of experience in Accounts Payables, general accounting processes and
practices, and/or bookkeeping duties
- Experience using accounting software
- Highly proficient in computer software applications including: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and
Excel skills including exporting information from accounting software to Excel and formatting
in reports
- Strong communicator and customer service skills, comfortable contacting vendors, customers,
and staff via phone or e-mail
- Highly organized, must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, work to tight
deadlines with minimal supervision
- A strong team player and eager to learn, always approachable and professional
- Quick learner with high attention to detail and can work independently but knows when to ask
for help
- High level of enthusiasm and energy
