A top Medical Device Design company, based in beautiful Victoria BC, is now looking for people with accounts payable experience, to add to their team for a 6 month contract position!

This would be full time hours, Monday-Friday.

The responsibilities will include:

- Sorting and prioritizing invoices and purchase orders
- Maintaining the AP electronic inbox
- Ensuring purchase order invoices match the purchase order
- Posting invoices for payment
- Cheque runs and online banking
- Preparing purchase orders for shipping invoices
- Checking the accuracy of employee expenses in accordance to the travel policy
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Reconcile petty cash
- Matching receipts/invoices to credit card statements
- Verify GST, HST and PST charges on vendor accounts

About you:

- You have completed Grade 12 and have some post-secondary education/training in basic accounting
- A minimum of 3 years accounts payable work experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with accounting software
- Great problem solving skills
- You have the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize your workload
- Understand and comply to the rules in regards to confidentiality
- You have the ability to communicate efficiently both orally and in writing
- Strong understanding of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with multiple different currencies
- You are able to have fun and work in a team environment
