 Responsible for full cycle accounting, such as AP, AR, billing, cash receipts, bank deposits
capital assets, year-ends, audit working papers.
 Manage the month end close process.
 Prepare cash flow analysis and oversee inter-company transfers.
 Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures, and investment activities, and
make recommendations to improve procedures, operating systems, budgets and other
financial control functions to Controller.
 Work with external accountants on company structure/restructure, prepare monthly,
quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
 Assist in preparation of cost-benefit analyses and gross profit margins for grocery products.

 University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
 5+ years of experience working in accounting and finance in a management role
 3+ years performing full cycle bookkeeping
 CPA Accounting designation preferred
 Must have a comprehensive hands-on technical and functional understanding of all accounting
processes (i.e. Budgeting, AR, AP, bank reconciliations, cash management, general ledger,
financial prep, financial closure, reporting and review)
 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and an accounting software such as
Acomba, Simply Accounting, Sage 50, Quickbooks, Bill Quick or other
 Solid knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
 Excellent computer skills with MS Office software
 ASPE financial statement preparation experience
 Experience managing a team of non-designated accountants
 Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills
 Ability to prioritize tasks and grasp new concepts quickly, with strong organizational skills
 Adapt to rapidly changing requirements, works well under pressure, deadline - oriented
 Strong technical and analytical ability, with high attention to detail
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and wear many hats when required
 Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
