Our client in Kitchener is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator for a permanent role:

Summary:
1. Timely processing of accounts receivable transactions
2. Administer the collection process, including following up on past due accounts and payment discrepancies.
3. Completion of payment application on a weekly basis.
4. Completion of various reporting, schedules, calculations by the required due dates.
5. Review the accounts receivable sub ledger on a frequent basis and address outstanding issues.

Responsibilities:
- Daily posting of sales transactions, ensure any discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.
- Weekly application of settlement including populating an excel spreadsheet to allocate amounts to the proper GL.
- Processing credit memos to process fees deducted from payment, running a statement to reconcile the invoice payments, applying the payment to offset outstanding invoices and following up on any discrepancies.
• Weekly invoicing for customer production.
• Month end transactions, reconciliations and reports for accounts receivable completed within a tight time frame.
• Assist with other month end duties as requested by the Accounting Manager.
• Prepare Customs paperwork for US shipments.
• Process daily sales transactions processed through the retail store.
• Complete weekly deposits and take to the bank.

Qualifications
- 2-3 years Accounting/Finance background, A/R experience required.
- General understanding of accounting principles.
- Post-secondary education with a focus on Business/Finance would be an asset, but not required.
- Self-starter, strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Effective organization, planning and time management skills; must be able to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel essential.
- Knowledge of NAV based computer software is an asset.
- Need to have their own transportation.
