Are you a detail oriented Administrative Assistant with a high attention to detail and the ability to support a Controller and Financial Team? Do you pride yourself in your ability to be a Microsoft Suite wizard and your ability to understand financial reporting and numbers? Are you passionate about the Cannabis Industry and looking to gain experience supporting key decision makers in this field? If yes, we have the perfect opportunity waiting for YOU!

Our client, a well-established player in the Regulatory world and now a key player in the Cannabis Industry is looking for an easy-going but highly professional Administrative Assistant to support their for a 1 Year Contract with the opportunity for extension thereafter.

Advantages
The DAY TO DAY DUTIES:

• Managing the Controller's Outlook, including utilizing Microsoft Suite heavily each day to complete various Administrative tasks.
• Creating PowerPoint decks and updating Excel spreadsheets, budgets etc (utilizing VLookups and Pivot Tables as needed).
• Ordering supplies, printing documents, helping with filing.
• Taking minutes, arranging meetings and travel.
• Supporting the rest of the growing Finance team with other ad hoc Admin as it comes up.
• Liaising with internal staff as well as external stakeholders regularly.

• A competitive salary of $50- $55K annually for the successful candidate
• 3 weeks’ vacation
• 10 Personal Emergency Days: 6 Paid, 4 Unpaid
• Flexible working day (Can start at 8:30 am or 9:00am)

Qualifications
MUST HAVES:

• The experience providing confidential administrative support to the Finance Team.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills with a strong focus on Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience in preparing, proofing and understand financial reports.
• Superior communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Superior customer service skills that exemplify professional friendliness, tact, judgement, sensitivity, confidentiality and problem solving.
• A self-starter who has strong follow up skills.
• An extremely friendly and easy going attitude, someone who is innately nice will thrive in this environment
• Clear background check is required.
• The flexibility to work longer hours at times.

NICE TO HAVES:

• Advanced Excel is considered a strong asset.
