Java Engineer

Our client is currently looking for an intermediate or Senior Java Engineer. Assets to the role are AI or Machine learning.

Responsibilities:

• SME for complex/advanced technologies supporting our Products.
• Software development of most challenging problem spaces.
• Discover, research, select, configure and deploy new technologies
• Work directly with DevOps and other lead technologists to push forward practices, Cloud deployments and technical excellence.
• Analyze complex problems, create reports and generate potential solutions for software, systems and processes.
• Work closely with Data Strategy and Document Enrichment teams to improve our Metadata platform serving various product lines.
• Lead efforts to migrate legacy platforms to modern technology stacks and practices.

Skills & Experience :
• Solid experience in Software Engineering
• 5+ years as a lead engineer on high performance, high availability systems
• Direct experience with deploying production systems in AWS or other cloud environment
• Experience developing using Agile Methodologies
• English communications skills, French is not required
• Expert level object oriented software development for Linux background (Java/C++)
• Experience with modern Software Engineering Practices - CI/CD, Test Driven Development, Tools (Jenkins, Terraform, etc)
• Advanced problem solving skills
• Able to assist management to analyze, decompose and estimate effort associated with a wide array of technical solutions
