Are you an Automation and Robotics Specialist in the Hamilton area? Do you have experience programming, debugging, installing and startup of new or modified production and test equipment? This role is for you! We are looking for an Automation and Robotics Specialist to join the team in the Hamilton area.

As an Automation and Robotics Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• programming, debugging, installation and startup of new or modified production and test equipment
• updating technical reference manuals, instructions and electrical schematics required to service equipment long term
• Providing support during design, build and commissioning of newly built automation equipment such as assembly lines, robotic cells, test equipment
• Setting up robot cells including vision and force monitoring (Fanuc)
• modification of existing production equipment
• customer support during equipment commissioning

As a qualified Automation and Robotics Specialist, you meet the following requirements:

• technical diploma or degree in engineering technology and relevant industrial experience
• Ability to redesign/engineer the machine components necessary to improve equipment performance
• Must be capable of specifying and sourcing materials and equipment to best suit requirements
• Willing to travel both domestic and international up to 70%
• Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/TS 16949 operating systems
