Our client, a very reputable and professional company located in Ottawa, is looking for a bilingual Disability Claims Processor, for a 1 year contract.

This role would be responsible for the following:

• Set up of new short-term claims.
• Identifying and collecting missing information, identifying discrepancies and advising the Team Manager on any outstanding issues.
• Issuing all short-term and long-term claim payments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Adjudication of quick pay STD claims involving claims where the employee has returned to work or is expected to do so within 4 weeks.
• Perform straightforward STD benefit calculations including routine over payments.
• Managing LTD maintenance claims, identifying over payment situations, changes in medical condition and following up on the appropriate action required.
• Handle routine customer inquiries and other miscellaneous duties as requested.

• $17-19 an hour
• Great work hours: 8.30 AM – 4.30 PM
• Public transit accessible
• Experience working within a great team of professionals

• Bilingualism (French and English) is a requirement
• High Mathematical Aptitude
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and prioritization skills
• Proven organization skills, problem solving skills and decision making abilities
• High keyboarding/data entry accuracy and fast typing speed
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Strong personal presentation
