are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a long term, meaningful opportunity with an small, accounting firm? Do you TRULY enjoy a challenge, are detail-oriented and diplomatic in all your interactions? Do you want to work for a fast growing, successful business?

what you will get:

• $43,000 annual salary based on experience
• Yearly Bonus schedule

who and how you will provide support:
• Report directly to the partners of the company
• Assist with preparing and reviewing Sales Order Invoicing on a daily basis
• Prepare and review and taxes for individuals and corporations.
• Maintain constant communication with clients regarding their files while keeping confidentiality agreements
• Prepare reports for partners on month end and quarterly end
• Review incoming cheques for accuracy and deposit them in accounts
• Assist Partners and senior accountant in any assigned tasks
• Assist on assigned administrative projects/duties when required
• Backup for reception when needed, greeting walk in clients and re-direct calls as required


what you NEED to be successful in this role:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent
• 2 – 4 years accounting and administrative experience
• Confident in computer environment including MS Word and Excel
• Extensive knowledge of Quickbooks desktop and online is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Provide results and deadline focused
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with very little supervision with tight datelines
• Availability to work overtime specially during Tax season
