Industrial Brake Mechanic needed in Richmond.

Our busy client, a leader in mining equipment fleets, crushing and materials processing and mobile construction equipment fleets are currently looking for an Industrial Brake/Mechanical Rebuild Technician for a full-time permanent position. We are looking for someone with exceptional mechanical ability and experience. The job requires someone who can work with shop floor team and promote company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Rebuilding of mechanical components related to mobile mining braking products.
- Experience rebuilding mining shovel and haul truck brakes.
- Reline Industrial Brake shoes and Brake Bands with friction lining
- Lifting of up to 25 Kg.
- Cutting and drilling of Friction material, rigid and woven using powered equipment
- Perform quality control checks and fill out required paperwork.
- Perform first article inspection and NCR reporting as required by ISO9001.
- Ensure equipment maintenance is done and recorded as per maintenance schedule and procedure.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience relining friction materials would be an asset
- Experience rebuilding mining mobile brakes and hydraulic components
- Experience using saws, drill presses, grinders and welding
- Be physically fit to lift 25 Kg
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklift and overhead crane
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience in an ISO 9001 environment would be an asset
- Completion of secondary school
- Valid driver’s license required to make local deliveries when required
