Position: Buyer
Location: Downtown Montreal

A large railway company is looking for 15 Buyers to support their operations across Canada in procurement. You are comfortable with procurement procedures and want to join a recognized company around the world that will propel your career? This is an opportunity for you!
The buyer must ensure that the procurement of services follows the category strategies and meets the functional requirements. By joining a big teamsof professionals, you will be involved in managing the procurement, priority setting, troubleshooting and shipping workload for a variety of internal customers.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that goods and services are cost-effectively delivered to meet needs;
• Select suppliers and purchase non-category goods and services;
• Track orders and find alternatives to improve order progress;
• Carry out procurement activities by writing and reviewing Fieldglass statements of work or purchase orders and informing the vendor and clearly documenting order and payment terms.
• Preserve the integrity of the data entered by comparing the items requested with the master data;
• Collaborate with the Category Directors and Analysts to assist in achieving efficiencies and efficiencies, as well as developing process improvements and vendor performance management activities.
• Work with the team and the Procurement Director to balance workloads and priorities.

Knowledge and skills of the buyer:

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration, Specialized Procurement Operations Management
