We looking for an administrative assistant to join a dynamic growing travel insurance company. Located in Richmond, accessible by public transit, this position would be a great fit for someone who is analytical, detail orientated and interested in staying with the organization on a long term basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Processing claim files according to Company policies and procedures. This involves reviewing claims for completeness and compliance with policy coverage, and recommending payment or denial. If the claim is not complete, the Claims Examiner requests additional information and follows-up regularly.
- Validate and enter data for mail
- Advises clients and providers of denials as appropriate.
- Tracks payments made or received and closes file.
- Assists “walk-in” clients to complete forms and answers questions.
- Maybe required to cover reception
- Respond effectively to handle issue

- This is a regular full time position
- 35 hours work week 9am-5pm
- Transit/ Skytrain accessible
- Richmond location
- $36,000- $38,000 based on experience

- 2+ years of administrative experience
- Diploma in business related field
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of policy wordings to accurately process claim files
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Ability to type 50 wpm
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
- A passion for travel
