CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Our client in the London area is looking for a full-time permanent CNC Manufacturing Engineer that is currently a licensed machinist with at least 5 years of working CNC programming and operating experience.

Required Skills
•Manufacturing engineering degree/diploma or equivalent experience
•Licensed machinist
•Ability to interpret blue prints
•Experience in identifying best tooling for the process and machining of castings
•Experience working with tooling suppliers to optimize machining process
•Experience in troubleshooting machining issues
•Experienced to develop a cost and quality efficient production flow
•Experience using continuous improvement tools and principles, FMEA
•Experience in machining and robotic cell design and layout
•Excellent in performing in CAM preparation
•Excellent in performing cycle time studies
•Excellent computer and communication skills
•Able to travel outside Canada for training, etc.

Desired Skills
•Experienced in training personnel, developing working instructions (WI) and SOP’s
•Working knowledge of OHSA
•Experience in securing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
•Experience in designing machining fixtures and cutting tools
•Trained in TS or IATF 16949
