Well established LOCAL SHERWOOD PARK company has a 3 month to permanent position available.

Opportunity for a Peddinghaus experienced machine operator to advance their career!!
Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Read measurement tools.
Perform precise measuring .to ensure components are machined to the specific tolerances and surface finishes.
Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize the use of materials and equipment.
Operate and handle materials and tools in a safe manner.
Report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.
Assist with the training of other employees.
Ensure that the work area is kept clean and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times.
Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment
Other duties as assigned.
Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for parts.
Develop and maintain program, Setup, tools preparation and perform operations on CNC Machine.
Operate CNC Machining Centers
Conduct inspections of machined parts as required, evaluating quality and performance.
Follow safe operating procedures.

Peddinghaus Machine Experience
3-5 years’ experience on setup and operation of CNC and/or Manual Lathes and or Mills
Ability to edit programs
Overhead Crane and Forklift Certificates are preferred.
Detail orientated and quality focused and must have proven experience as a CNC machine
Comfortable learning to operate and program 2 axis CNC Mill \ Lathe Machine
Able to interpret technical drawings and read blueprints,
Must be able to work independently, speak and understand English well
Must be comfortable with physical activity
Work is performed in a job shop environment
Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc. as required
Overtime as Required.
