Our Client, a progressive fish processing plant located in Surrey, BC, is seeking a highly motivated, professional and detail orientated Forklift Operator to join our team. Established in 1974, we are a British Columbian Seafood company specializing in the processing and sales of high-quality finfish and pelagic fish. They are a dynamic company, who strive to unlock the full potential of all employees through teamwork and working towards common goals with constantly evolving innovations, through the effective communication of knowledge.

Job Functions /General Responsibilities
(Include, but are not limited to):
-Complete pre-shift forklift sheets.
-Efficiently and accurately load and unload trailers, trucks & containers – fresh and frozen product.
-Complete accurate TDU inspections.
-Put product away.
-Load and unload blast freezers.
-Load racks.
-Accurately write tote tags.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
-Forklift certification.
-Exceptionally strong communication skills, with an innate positive attitude that is both personable and professional to work with.
-Strong verbal, written and visual communications skills with great interpersonal and customer service skills.
-Excellent organizational skills with the ability to efficiently multitask, with an aptitude to understand complexities in order to set priorities and manage workload accordingly by demonstrating superior prioritization and time management skills.
-Analytical problem solver with an ability to think quickly and perform problem-solving tasks, even within changing conditions.
-An innovative approach to continuous improvements.
-Willingness and ability to learn and perform duties within/outside of job description as required to accomplish the company’s goals.
-A team player who firmly believes in the strengths of shareable knowledge.
