Do you have extensive experience with commissioning electrical work? Are you looking for temporary contract work? Do you have the ability to conduct your field work safely and efficiently? If so, we have an opportunity for you!
Our client in Edmonton is looking for a Commissioning Electrician to join their field service team! You will be responsible for the startup and commissioning of electrical equipment such as transformer testing, LV switchgears, MV switchgears, relay testing, Hipot testing, as well as Megger testing with LV cable. You will be expected to complete field projects safely and on schedule. By using the health and safety guidelines provided, you will ensure that projects are completed without issue. You will also be responsible for the organization of electrical equipment to ensure that tools and instrumentation remains undamaged. The successful applicant for the position of Commissioning Electrician will have previous experience with the equipment previously listed, as well as the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Field service locations will range across Alberta and Saskatchewan. This contract will last approximately 10 to 12 weeks. Pay is determined by experience. The applicant must have:
• Previous experience with transformer maintenance
• Previous experience with switchgears
• Inter-provincial trades status preferred (Electrician)
• The ability to work alone or as part of a team
• The ability to complete their work safely
