Our client, is currently looking for a Construction Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Sir. Project Manager and working with the local team in the east end of Toronto of estimating engineering and business development, this position is primarily responsible for running all aspects of contemporary construction management including planning, scheduling, procurement and staffing multiple projects across the country insuring successful achievement of safety, profitability and schedule objectives. This is a hands-on role and will require an individual who is willing to get into the details, travel into the field, and spend time in the shop to ensure we are creating value for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with our customers at various levels of executive and field management, establish schedules, manage documentation requirements, safety protocols, site logistics, personnel co-ordination at site meetings in the field and over the phone through regular interaction.
Manage relationships with our outside suppliers ensuring materials are available on site to meet our stringent quality requirements, meeting the customer’s construction schedule, at or below budgeted cost estimates.
Select and manage field labor supervision from our established team across the country and oversee the selection and management of local union labor resources on multiple sites concurrently.

Qualifications:

Construction related Associates Degree (or higher) or a Technical Degree/Certificate in related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction project management preferred.
Capable of reading blueprints/construction documents and details.
Familiar with sub-contract terminology and review.
Experience managing multiple projects/crews.
Organizational/Prioritizing skills a must; has the capability to manage multiple priorities
Effective communication skills, dealing with customers, clients, subcontractors, installers, sales personnel, etc.
