Randstad Engineering is looking for a Construction Safety Officer to work on a concrete mid rise project. Please see the full description below:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Actively promoting health and safety awareness.
Contribute to team environment.
Development of safe work practices, procedures, and hazard assessments.
Conduct health and safety inspections of the workplace
Conducts incident investigation
Liaises with WorkSafe BC and other regulatory authorities to promote safety on the job site.
Provides site specific orientations to workers and visitors new to the jobsite.
Provides first aid assessment and treatment for workers as required.
Responsible for implementing measures and ensuring public safety
Manage and maintain accurate records.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Min. 2 years’ experience as a CSO and First Aid Attendant
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Strong familiarity with WorkSafe BC Regulations and Industry Best Practices
Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook)

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
CSO Certification
First Aid Level 2 or higher
High School Diploma
