Are you a paralegal or legal clerk with experience in the license agreement field? Are you looking for a new opportunity to develop your skills in a leading financial institution? If so look no further! We are currently looking for a Contracts Specialist to support our client, one of Canada's big 5 banks, in their downtown Toronto office.

In this role you will work full time hours on a 6 month assignment, and earn a competitive rate of up to $24.37 per hour. As a Contracts Specialist you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on both routine and complex matters related to licensing agreements. This will include but not be limited to:

• Review key business requirements and draft agreements using company templates, as applicable;
• Review and revise supplier documentation to conform with company required standard terms and conditions;
• Coordinate with supplier and internal stakeholders to draft required revisions to the satisfaction of all parties;
• Prepare final documentation package to facilitate contract approvals and contract signature and/or countersignature whilst ensuring that requisite due diligence related to vendor verification and spend approvals/limits are obtained) in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare final vendor document package to ensure record management requirements are met as required.
• Update contract management tool weekly to ensure deals assigned are reflected on the capacity tracking report used to track deals assigned to each CSG Team member;
• Create, maintain and update correspondence logs for each contract. Logs include but not limited to; formal communications, emails etc.;
• Maintain integrity, accuracy, accessibility and reliability of contract documents, data, and information and associated reporting.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of previous experience in the legal field
• Paralegal or Law Clerk certification; LLB or other comparable degree.
• Proficient with contract language and contract law.
• Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills with appropriate business acumen.
• Proven successful negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of a formal sourcing process, as well as the ability to apply them to various categories / circumstances.
• Structured problem solving and decision making.
• Strong knowledge and ability to articulate and negotiate common contractual terms and conditions.
