Financial Controller
Our client south-west of London is looking for a Financial Controller for their Production facility, offering a competitive salary and benefit package. Controller Responsibilities:
Responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning and business analysis, perform operation and business management reviews. Lead and perform analyses of multi-dimensional business components (e.g., customers, products, markets), will provide the business and management with analytical support to enable an understanding of business dynamics and will perform project analyses

•Review operating results and benchmark performance with site budget owners and the business. (e.g., site costs, material usage variances, supply chain costs, headcount progression, yields, etc.) Also, suggest areas of improvements and liaise with the plant manager to assure those areas of improvements are acted / followed upon
•Identify and communicate key risks (unforeseen deviations) or opportunities on a proactive basis
•Contribute to and support on developing new initiatives, projects and strategies (e.g., footprint studies, inventory optimization, value targets)
•Implement and conduct post project reviews
•Identify, understand and drive operational performance improvements, initiatives and projects (e.g., cost savings, operational efficiencies)
•Source inputs for site budgets/forecasts and strategic plans and prepare them with the business
•Collaborate with various stakeholders to compile performance metrics/KPI’s and challenge accuracy
•Supports the business on new contract negotiations and renewals (e.g., energy utilities)
•Propose inventory valuation adjustments to the business (e.g., damaged, obsolete, slow-moving, scrap, surplus)
•Support the business in preparing the yearly factory cost benchmark study and ensure accuracy
•Collaborate with various stakeholders to prepare investment proposals for capex projects (e.g., fixed asset additions/removals)
•Support Supply Chain on reconciling cycle and periodic inventory counts with operating results and ERP system. Analyze cycle and periodic inventory counts (e.g., variances)
•Support Accounting on certain minor month-end closing activities (e.g., capitalizing salaries, accruing for energy costs and temporary labour costs
•Initiate and coordinate insurance activities with Insurance and provide support (e.g., insurance claims) May be required to coordinate with the Regional Insurance/Treasury team.
•Monitor and ensure compliance controls (internal systems and regulatory standards)
•Profitability analysis, investment analysis, manufacturing cost analysis
•Structure and orientation of the budget process with budget holders
•Short and midterm forecasts
