We have an immediate opening for a Conventional Machinist to join a company with over 40 years of success in their industry. As the Conventional Machinist you will be responsible for the following key duties.

Main responsibilities include:
- setup and operate conventional lathe, vertical mill and boring mill machinery
- select proper tooling based on blueprints and specifications
- manually load the part into the conventional machine
- measure and examine each component machined to adhere to tight tolerances and specifications

Qualifications
- 3 or more years related experience as a Conventional Machinist
- Capable of machining to tight tolerances based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with conventional lathe, conventional vertical mill
- Boring mill experience is an strong asset
- Comfortable machining on lathe large and medium sized parts (4 ft centres to 26 ft centres)
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Follow instruction, able to read blueprints, and work with angles
