Exciting opportunity for a Data Warehouse Engineer located in Mississauga.

Functional & Technical responsibilities:
● Triage, investigate, and resolve support tickets related to applications and BI integrations
● Administration of the ODI environment (topology, security, models)
● Develop efficient, supportable ETL flows in support of business projects
● Tune and optimize ODI and Data Warehouse to support business users and BI Applications
● Implement necessary processes and tools to ensure process maturity and best practices are followed
● Lead design discussions and decisions as it relates to business intelligence and database solutions and drive decisions through to completion
● Develop and maintain logical and physical data models
● Create data integration processes to coalesce disparate data sets into a cohesive data model in support of BI and analytical requirements
● Design and develop scalable solutions targeted for broad deployment across a division or the entire enterprise.
● Create rapid prototypes with cross-functional team members to prove out capabilities
● Work closely with the business and technical teams to understand, document, design and code development objects

Customer & Stakeholder

● Liases with cross-functional IT team members throughout the resolution of support tickets
● Liaises with Project Manager / Solution manager (internal or external) throughout the solution development lifecycle.
● Provide support for end user training and UAT when required
● Strong customer focus
● Effective and clear communication skills with customers

Operational Excellence
● Ensure deliverables are within business / audit control requirements
● Take ownership of a problem and stay with it through to resolution, including all necessary coordination with other teams
● Coordinate the work of other run support resources and ensure timeliness and quality
● Adheres to, and continues to evolve, appropriate technical development standards
● Participates in tier 3 application support activities including incident management and supports the assessment and delivery of application upgrades and patches
● Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with shifting priorities

Experience needed:
● Minimum 5 years of related work experience with a background in RDBMS or Big Data technologies, such as Azure SQL or Hadoop (Oracle strongly preferred)
● Minimum 5 years of experience in ETL technologies and languages, such as Oracle Data Integrator or Informatica
● Minimum 5 years working on BI/DW Projects
● ETL architecture design experience within data warehousing environments governed by applying appropriate methodologies and ETL standards is desired
● Experience creating integration and data warehouse technical specifications is required
● Conceptual, logical and physical data modeling through use of data modeling tools is a plus
● Experience working with JD Edwards data structures is strongly desired
● Experience in the beverage alcohol or consumer packaged goods industry helpful
● Experience with traditional BI platforms, such as Power BI, Spotfire, or Microstrategy, is an asset
