Our downtown Toronto client is looking for an experienced Database Systems Administrator for an exciting 12 month project to start. If you have at least three to seven years of experience in or with:

Relevant Qualifications and Experience:
• Considerable experience with database high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Data Guard, SQL clustering, replication and always-on availability groups.
• Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring and supporting MS SQL Server products in Windows, Linux, IBM-AIX and Sun Solaris environments.
• Experience with Oracle & MS SQL RDBMS software licensing.
• Experience in supporting a database environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
• Execute work streams using iterative approach
• Participant in Agile lead projects.
• Effective estimation of resources and participants needed to achieve goals
• Assess risk including identifying problems and concerns within the organization that impact, or have the potential to impact program or technological performance and support lead change agent in raising risk assessments within organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey detailed technical information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, assist with resolution and clearly communicate the means to resolve incidents and/or enhance applications or systems.
• Fundamental working knowledge of a project methodology and various levels of system and/or application testing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and external contractors.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
