Do you have previous experience in investment accounting? Have you previously been responsible for the reconciliation of derivatives? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for a Derivatives Reconciliation Analyst to work a 6 month assignment in our client's Mississauga office (one of Canada's leading banks!). In this assignment you would work full time hours from Monday to Friday and earn a competitive rate of up to $34 per hour, based on your qualifications and previous experience. As a Derivatives Reconciliation Analyst you would mainly be responsible for day-to-day processing duties, including but not limited to the following:

• Perform daily reconciliation of a variety of Derivatives products including Forwards, Futures, Options, Swaps and Structured Products
• Escalate breaks to the appropriate parties as per procedure
• Assess Net Asset Value and Market Value calculations for Derivative products being reconciled
• Monitor and maintain group inbox for internal and external queries
• Verify terms and details of Derivatives products including Forwards, Futures, Options and Swaps
• Generate derivative reports for the Fund Accounting and Custody Reporting groups
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required

Qualifications
Essential
• Minimum 1 year Derivatives experience including experience with year-end processes, audit, transitions and mergers.
• Strong understanding of how to calculate MTM for all open positions for Derivative products
• Understanding the performance of a portfolio and ability to decompose the P&L
• Investment accounting experience
• Computer Skills: MS office, knowledge and experience with Derivatives systems and integration
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Accurate and detail oriented
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility to meet scheduled shift work

Desirable
• Securities experience
• Enrollment in CGA/CMA/CFA or other recognized accredited program
• Successful completion of the CSC
• Working knowledge of GAAP
