Job Summary and Scope:

Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors the problem to insure a timely resolution. May require an associate's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain documentation for the facility, including inventory, ticket tracking, time tracking and assigned project work.

May act as the liaison into Information Technology second and third level support groups to assist in expediting the support process.

May manage vendor warranty and break/fix work. May assist in the desktop/server/LAN procurement process.

Meet project task deadlines as defined by Project Management.

Perform PC Refresh as defined for group.

Requires general to little direct supervision and capable of handling any routine to highly technical problem with demonstrated adequate to good communication skills.

Very capable technical position. Requires day-to-day management and break/fix work of desktops, servers, smart devices, RF devices, printers, other network attached devices, and local area network (LAN) for all assigned facilities.

Supports installation and maintenance of PC/Server hardware and software.

Configure reporting/monitoring mechanism to resolve software, hardware, and operations problems.

Installs appropriate infrastructure, tools, procedures and best practices for departmental/enterprise network, internet and intranet solutions.

Installs software version upgrade releases and custom interfaces using SMS.

Installs, configures, and tests workstations with supporting hardware, software, and networking components.

Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be organized and detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks at once

Knowledge of Windows 2003 Active directory

Required Skills:

MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) credentials preferred.

LAN/WAN Components (Hubs, Switches, Wireless devices, Cabling)

Microsoft Productivity Tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Must work well with all levels of business (warehouse, manufacturing, CSR, Finance and management)

File/Print Server installation and configuration

Fluent English & French is a MUST

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:

5+ years of experience or equivalent proficiency level in programming, business, networking or computer hardware or software support
