One of our Banking Clients is currently looking for 3 DevOps Specialists to join their team for a 12 month contract.

The role is for a seasoned DevOps support engineer with excellent technical operations skills, including writing shell scripts, software engineering, changing system configurations, implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment capabilities in support of ongoing development efforts. The role is to work with the current development teams to help them implement a DevOps framework/platform across various critical applications. The role will require a wide range of skills including: infrastructure operations, software development and service management within a DevOps frame. The person will need to exhibit development and operations processes in which they will bring people and tools closer together to create speed, efficiency and quality delivery of the technical solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Work with the application development leads/teams to analyse current framework for development, testing and deployment to document gaps
• Work with the enterprise SDLC teams to review, analyse and leverage approved tools where applicable to help cater to those gaps
• Generate and publish an implementation plan for review to deliver a framework across the global application stack
• Work with each development and QA team on a priority basis to help implement the framework and to set a clear understanding of roles of responsibilities across the individuals involved in maintaining the framework going forward
• Co-ordinate between various teams/groups to deliver sustainable solutions and services and ongoing support of the platform

Work Experience

• Experience of implementation and working in a DevOps framework in a large enterprise environment
• Experience with CI and CD technologies from a configuration, sustainment and improvement perspective
• Experience of TDD/BDD methodologies
• Experience of application development in .Net or Java or Python
• Experience of designing and implementing technical architecture solutions
• Experience of container technologies; Docker, Openshift, etc.
• Experience of working in Agile teams
• Strong written and communication skills

Technical
• Administrative experience Continuous Integration e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity
• Testing tools e.g. JUnit, NUnit, Specflow, Selenium
• Configuration Management e.g. Ansible/Tower , Puppet, Chef
• Repositories e.g. Git, SVN and repository artifact managers e.g. JFrog Artifactory
• Software documentation and workflow tools e.g. Confluence (Wiki), JIRA
• Application programming: C#/.Net or Java or Python
