We have an outstanding opportunity with a cutting edge high tech manufacturing client of ours seeking a Director of Manufacturing.
The successful candidate will assume direct responsibility, leadership and management of manufacturing, production planning, and on-time, on-quality product delivery.


•Overall responsibility for recruiting and leading a team of skilled production technicians
•Overall responsibility for ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery of semiconductor radiation detector products
•Overall responsibility for process engineering, test engineering, production planning, and production supervision
•Responsible for building a best practice manufacturing organization with a strong culture of continuous improvement in quality and cost
•Develop analytical tools and metrics to monitor quality and cost
•Work closely with R&D and Engineering to ensure the smooth transfer and implementation of new products and process technologies
•Play a key role in plant expansion and capital equipment selection
•Prioritize and support the development and implementation of semiconductor manufacturing processes
•Responsible for supply chain management. Works closely with R&D in the qualification of new suppliers
•Responsible for production planning and scheduling
•Play a key role – in conjunction with finance – to specify, select and implement a corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system


•Engineering or Science degree
•Experience with transitioning products and processes from R&D to manufacturing is a must
•Experience in a semiconductor fab is highly desirable
•Experience in high tech manufacturing is a must
•Minimum 10 years experience with overall responsibility for a manufacturing organization with $20M or more in annual product shipments in an ISO9001, ISO13485, or other quality-certified environment.
•Experience in selection, training and supervision of production technicians
•Experience managing MRP/ERP systems
•Experience in the management of health, safety and environmental quality
•Experience with Lean/6 Sigma techniques
•Experience with complex process, industrial, and/or manufacturing engineering-centric environments
•Experience with implementing industrial automation
