Role: Dispatcher
Location: Sherwood Park, AB
Type: Permanent

We are currently seeking a qualified, motivated and experienced Dispatchers for our Sherwood Park facility. Working with a large global manufacturer and supplier of steel pipe for the energy sector, the Dispatcher will be responsible for exceeding the customers’ requirements, dispatching loads, scheduling equipment and logistics.

This is a very hands-on Dispatcher role in an industrial environment that requires a high level of customer service, located in Sherwood Park, AB.

This is a Monday to Friday role, however does also require rotational on-call schedule and some overtime.

The main responsibilities of the Dispatcher include:

Ensuring efficient and safe delivery of product to our customers by:

- Effectively planning and directing activities related to the distribution of products
- Monitoring all product inventory levels in the field
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
- Assisting with yard layout for maximum efficiency
- Supervising all yard procedures, field personnel and ensuring effective scheduling of man hours
- Tracking all information regarding Q & HSE (records, stats, certificates, training)
- Monitor maintenance plans for all equipment
- Ensuring all protective gear and safe working procedures are utilized at all times

Qualifications
Who you are:

* Effective communication skills (verbal, written)

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience Dispatching for the energy sector.
*Post-Secondary technical certification is considered an asset; experience will be taken into consideration
* Previous experience in inventory and warehouse management is considered an asset
* Previous experience in Product Management is an asset
