The award-winning Vancouver, Canada-based sustainable company using machine learning and AI technologies is seeking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer where title and compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To help build software as a service product for our innovative company from the ground up, as well as maintain an existing product that helps us perform report outs. To serve as a dedicated individual contributor, coding backends in Java/JBoss, Ubuntu and Docker for internal services and AWS (Amazon Web Services) for external services; and frontends with HTML/CSS/Vue.js.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent (10+ years of area experience may be taken in lieu of a degree);
-3+ years of work experience in software engineering and development;
-Strong Java programming proficiency;
-Proven track record of deploying Java / Web Services applications;
-Experience implementing SOA principles and RESTful services specifically;
-Strong HTML 5 / CSS / JavaScript proficiency;
-Familiarity with current Web UX technologies (e.g. Angular / React / Vue.js);
-Strong SQL proficiency;
-Proficiency with Docker;
-Experience deploying applications on Linux;
-Familiarity with AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda);
-Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies; and
-Ability to write clean and maintainable code.
