job description

Randstad is seeking a reliable and motivated candidate for general labour positions. This is an opportunity with a reputable metal fabrication company located in Brampton close to the intersection of Torbram & Steeles.


• Remove parts from skid or bin, cleans them on table
• Uses hand grinder and chisel to clean parts to quality standards
• Using bevelling tools as instructed to create parts to customer requirements
• Taking parts from one side of table and clean
• Stacking finished parts on other side of table
• Returns finished parts to skid or bin
• Operate crane (certification and training required)
• Conducts ongoing visual inspection of parts before forwarding to next procedure
• Comply with requirements as outlined in the company handbook and the OHSA
• Practice good housekeeping.
• Other duties that may be assigned.


Advantages
- Days: 6:30 am to 2:30 pm ($17.24)
- Afternoons: 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm ($17.99)
- Night : 10:30 pm- 6:30 am ($18.24)
- Temporary to permanent

Qualifications
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset
• Ability to identify product defects
• Ability to frequently stand, repetitive lifting, bending and twisting required
• Overhead crane experience
• In the habit of working in a busy and complex environment, staying calm under pressure
• Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written
